Luisa is a Poultry farmer living in Marracuene district with her son, daughter-in-law and four grandchildren. She is one of many women who have benefited from the improved chicken village production project in Marracuene district, which was in support of people affected by HIV and AIDS to improve livelihoods, nutrition and health.
Through proper care management, her flock has continued to grow from the 4 native breed hens she received as part of the project in 2018. She has been selling some chickens for income to feed her family, her relatives and some members in her community.
