” My own and my neighbours’ chickens use to die a lot – mainly during the months of July and August.”

Adelaide is a farmer from Gorongosa district, Sofala province in Mozambique. She told our team that less of her chickens are dying because of the Newcastle disease (ND) vaccination program. Previously, during July and August her community would experience losing many of their chickens to the disease. Since she started vaccinating in July 2016, she has been able to prevent ND in her chickens. Her flock size has grown significantly!
